Last weekend I went to The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport to photograph a performance by the amazing Suzanne Vega and was treated to a fabulous opening act called Oh Cassius!. Oh Cassius! is a combined effort of local musicians John Torres and Meredith DiMenna. Though each have their own band, Torress and DiMenna started writing music and performing together– I hope to see them again soon! This was the first time I’ve had an opportunity to see Suzanne Vega and she was incredible- she offers such a variety of music, and the stories behind the music added a wonderful, intimate dimension to the show.
