tips & ideas to help you create, capture, print & enjoy your favorite memories

Photo Credit: Kate Van Tassel As many of you know, I’ve spent the last several months in Paris– sightseeing a bit, eating a bit more, and capturing photographs for my fine art collection. It has been an absolutely wonderful time to find renewed inspiration and explore some new concepts I’ve wanted to try! For those of […]

August in Paris is something of a dream. All the beauty and history this magical place has collected over the past few centuries is available just for you as the Parisians leave the city for their annual vacations. It’s true that a few places close during the month, but for the most part, it […]

Paris Photography of The Louvre

Arriving in Key West, you are suddenly aware that real time- real life, in fact- has stopped. People walk along the streets at a leisurely pace, the bars are filled with people and musicians at all hours, and no one is in a hurry for anything to change. Key West is a place to […]

Being invited to photograph a couple’s wedding is an incredible honor. So much love and attention goes into every detail of the day and to be asked to capture that so they can remember it all years from now is very humbling. This bride was as wonderful to work with as she is beautiful. Here […]

A perfectly simple affair, between a perfectly perfect pair. The setting was Jacob’s Beach in Guilford and there were just two guests. After the ceremony, we spent an hour capturing the beauty of the setting, and the absolute joy of the couple!

They are both so kind- and kind-hearted- but when they are together, their eyes light up and the magic begins. Bringing their families together was an important part of the day and it infused the event with such beautiful energy that everyone felt like a member of the extended family!

A beautiful wedding at the Madison Beach Club in Connecticut

Erin and Ryan chose the quietly beautiful Penfield Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut, for their engagement photos. We had almost the entire beach to ourselves- as they walked and laughed and talked amidst the surf and sand…

I love it when clients get into their photo sessions– it makes it so much fun! Cate took this opportunity to really have fun with the session as we toured East Rock Park. The best smiles emerged, though, when her boyfriend showed up. Her smile went from lovely- to crazy beautiful in 0.2 seconds!

Building a theme into a photo session can be so much fun- most especially because I get to watch my clients get creative with concepts and props. This newborn photo session had a Yankee baseball theme- not for every shot, but for a few in particular. The results were sweet and beautiful…

Ilana and Corey were living in New Haven, but getting married out-of-state. I usually love engagement sessions because I really get to know the bride and groom before their big day, but this was one instance that this would be my only chance to get to know them! We met at East Rock Coffee in New […]
