Let us help you capture it!
We're going to go big here in order to grab some attention.
I believe that life should be captured in two sets of photographs. The first set is the everyday "lifestyle" shots you capture on your phone. These are important because you can capture all the in-between moments that go by in a flash. The second set consists of beautiful, fine art-style photographs that you want to frame and keep on your wall or desk. Both sets of photographs are important to telling the whole story. And I'm here to help you with both. Scroll to the bottom of this page for a checklist of what to capture along the way- and then reach out to me when you're ready for the fine art shots you'll want for your walls. In the meantime, enjoy every minute!

Welcome
Here you are
going to state the challenges and frustrations
01
Where do you like to study? In your room? In the stacks? At your college library? Nobody gets through Yale without a favorite spot.
02
How do you like to unwind? Do you go out to dinner? Do you play intramurals? Are you in a club? Do you go to Toad's?
03
Who do you like spending time with most? Your suitemates? Sorority sisters? Your a cappella group? Your team?
04
Years from now when you think back to your undergrad years, what spots are iconic to you? Is it Sterling? Old Campus? Cross Campus?
“Karissa combines creativity with professionalism. She took beautiful, artistic photos of my daughter I will treasure forever.”

“This course made my business dreams come true! I made six figures, and I couldn't have done it without Kate!”

Portrait sessions are the most tailored to you and your style. After we find a date we'll have a consult and go over the location, style and wardrobe of your session. The day of your session will begin with complimentary hair & makeup in our beautiful New Haven studio. Once you're camera ready we'll begin our photoshoot- either in the studio or on campus (or you can do both for an additional fee). In the end you'll have pictures to treasure forever.
Whether it's your suitemates, a cappella group, sailing team or secret society, so much of the college experience is about the people you spend time with! We've worked with groups of all types and love finding a way to showcase your story in photos. During a Friends Session we'll capture photos of each person individually, as well as photos of the group together. Friends Sessions can take place in the studio, on campus, or on location and usually last about 2 hours.
Much like the last four years, graduation weekend goes by in a blur. Often families come together for just a couple of days, trying to make reservations (hotels, restaurants, etc.) to celebrate this special moment together. We're here to give you something you can hold onto forever- a souvenir of graduation weekend that will bring you back to this moment years from now. To make it as easy as possible, these sessions are quick, 15-minute sessions that you can reserve in advance or the day of (depending on availability).

"Yale was one of the best moments in my life- also one of the hardest."
I know how fast it all goes.
My whole life has revolved around the academic calendar- from the time I was born my father worked at universities and then I married a college professor. The fresh starts in the fall, the pressure cooker of finals, the way strangers in the fall become family by spring... it's exciting and continuous. I now have two kids at Yale and am even more struck by how quickly it all goes.
I've been a member of the Yale community for 20 years. I know the campus well. It is a special, beautiful place and I would love to help you capture your time here!
I'VE SPENT MY WHOLE LIFE ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES...
“Karissa's pictures have become a representation of how we honor our family.”
Karissa is an incredibly talented photographer. Her ability to capture natural, beautiful moments blows my mind away.
