The academic calendar is one of the main reasons I love living in a university town. Every fall begins with a fresh group of students, a fresh start, and incredible optimism. In a similar way, every May features students taking steps into adulthood, their proud parents at their side, ready to change the world. I realize this sounds like I have rose-colored glasses on… but aren’t they stylish??  🙂  I met this family last Thanksgiving in the most memorable photo shoot of my career. I have photographed a few celebrities and beautiful locations around the world, but nothing holds a candle to running from an armed gunman amidst the SWAT teams and their automatic rifles (to read more about that, click here). Needless to say, I got to know my clients very well that day. Fast forward several months and we met again for their son’s graduation from Yale. While a much less exciting photo shoot (thank God!), it was wonderful to be able to capture that moment in their lives. Congratulations!!
