Most of our clients are new to professional photography so we wanted to provide answers to some of the most frequently asked questions upfront. If your question is not answered here, please reach out & ask us directly.
Q. What are your specialties?
We specialize in women's portraits and headshots. We offer a luxury photoshoot experience that we tailor to your vision.
Q. Where are you located?
Our studio is located in New Haven, Connecticut, just off I-91.
Q. How far out do I need to book my session?
It varies with the type of session, but we recommend calling 2-4 weeks in advance to book your photoshoot.
Q. What if I'm uncomfortable in front of the camera?
About 80% of our clients tell us they were uncomfortable in front of the camera before the shoot. Note that we are professionals and our sessions are designed to help you relax and enjoy the experience!
Q. Do I need to bring my own wardrobe?
We will discuss your wardrobe during the consultation, but generally clients bring in some of their own wardrobe- especially for headshots. For portraits we invite you to look at our design closet of gowns & dresses.
Q. Do you offer hair & makeup styling?
Absolutely. Our stylists are highly trained professionals with a minimum of 15 years experience. They know how to adapt makeup to different lighting situations and work with you to make sure the style reflects you.
Q. What is the cost of a photoshoot?
The cost of a photoshoot varies depending on the type of session. Our sessions begin at $650 and go up from there.
Q. What is included in the cost?
We invest our time in each of our clients. Each session includes a design call to discuss your vision, as well as hair & makeup styling, the photoshoot itself and a reveal call afterwards.
Q. Are you willing to travel for the photoshoot?
We are! Karissa regularly works in Connecticut, as well as New York and Paris. She is also available for travel to other destinations.
Q. Do you photograph men?
We do! While we specialize in photographing women, we also photograph men and kids.
